Licensing A Special NOTE from the Clerk & Recorder for Gilpin County Residents Who Need to Renew Their Driver’s License: It has come to my attention that residents are having problems at certain Driver’s License facilities when attempting to list their address as Black Hawk, CO 80422 (which is correct). Some Driver’s License agents have been telling residents that there is no such address and forces them to list Golden, CO 80403. If this happens to you, make sure that they type in Black Hawk as TWO WORDS. The computer system shows Blackhawk (one word) as “no such address”.
