Concealed Weapon Permit Renewal
For renewal of a Concealed Weapon Permit issued by the Gilpin County
Sheriff’s Office the following must be submitted to the Gilpin
County Sheriff’s Office:
-Notarized completed
application – NOTARIZATION WILL BE
DONE AT THE SHERIFF’S OFFICE
-A notarized
Gilpin County CCW renewal affidavit/form
stating that the permittee remains qualified pursuant to the
criteria specified (NOTARIZATION WILL BE DONE AT THE SHERIFF’S
OFFICE)
-Renewal fee of $50.00 (cash; personal check , money order, or
cashiers check made payable to the Gilpin County Sheriff’s Office)
-Certified check or money order in the amount of
$13.00 made payable to the Colorado Bureau of Investigation.
If the applicant had not previously been fingerprinted, this will
take place at the renewal. An additional $39.50 fee will be
submitted to the Colorado Bureau of Investigation for a total of
$52.50, in the form of a Cashier’s Check or Money Order.
A permittee who fails to file a renewal form on or before the permit
expiration date may renew the permit by paying a late fee of $15.00
in addition to the above mentioned renewal fees. No permit shall be
renewed six months or more after its expiration date and the permit
shall be deemed permanently expired. A person whose permit has
permanently expired may reapply by submitting a new application and
the required fees.
