Renewal Procedure with Affidavit/Form

If you are interested in applying for a Concealed Weapon Permit from the Gilpin County Sheriff’s Office, please read and follow the following instructions carefully:

1.  Obtain a Concealed Weapon Permit Application by:
Downloading and printing our Concealed Handgun Permit Application
Picking up an application at the Gilpin County Sheriff’s Office located at 2960 Dory Hill Road – Suite 300, Golden, CO
By calling (303) 582-1060 and requesting an application be sent to you.
If you chose to download the application, please download and read the
Concealed Handgun Permit Information Packet thoroughly. It provides all the information you need to know to complete your application.

2.  Return the completed application
in person to the Gilpin County Sheriff’s Office.

3.  The following must be included with your application:
Copy of handgun training certificate or evidence of other qualified training (see Concealed Handgun Permit Information Packet)Cash, check or money order for $100.00 made payable to the Gilpin County Sheriff’s Office.
Cashier’s Check or Money Order for $52.50 made payable to: Colorado Bureau of Investigations.
Proof of residency.
