About the Gilpin County Sheriff's Office
The Gilpin County Sheriff’s Office is located between the towns of Black Hawk/Central City and Rollinsville along scenic Highway 119.  At the present time, the Sheriff’s Office maintains a staff of 28 sworn personnel and 17 civilian support employees. The objective of our office is to support our citizens through exceptional service; to work with our citizens to provide a community that we can all be proud to live and work in; and to provide an enjoyable quality of life every citizen is entitled to.
