A pubic meeting with an opportunity to learn more
about this project will be held at the
Gilpin County Community Center, 250 Norton Drive,
Thursday, May 21 from 6:30 pm - 8:00 pm.
The Objection Process
This project is subject to an objection process in accordance with
the regulations listed in the CFR, Title 36, Part 218 of the Code of
Federal Regulations. Objections will be accepted for 30 days
following the date of a legal notice to be published in Boulder's
Daily Camera newspaper. Individuals or organizations eligible
to file an objection must have submitted specific written comments
on the proposed project during the scoping or comment period.
Objectors must provide the following information prior to the end of
the official objection-filing period: 1.
Objector's name & address. Please include a daytime phone
number if available.
2. The name of the project, the name & title of the Responsible
Official (Christine M. Walsh, District Ranger), Arapaho-Roosevelt
Forests, Boulder Ranger District.
3. Sufficient narrative description of those aspects of the Lump
Gulch Fuel Treatment Project addressed by the objection, specific
issues related to the project, and suggested remedies which would
resolve the objection.
4. When multiple names are listed on the objection, provide
identification of the lead objector.
5. Signature or other verification of the identity of the authorship
upon request (a scanned signature for electronic mail may be filed
with the objection). All objections must be
submitted in writing to the Reviewing Officer, Glenn P. Casamassa,
Forest Supervisor. The Reviewing Officer or the objector may
request a meeting to discuss the issues raised in the objection and
potential resolution. The Reviewing Officer has the discretion
to determine whether adequate time remains in the review period to
make a meeting with the objector practical. The Reviewing
Officer will issue a written response to the objector(s) 30 days
following the end of the objection filing period.
